3 Wheel Scotland - How it all started
3 Wheel Scotland is the brain child of Joe Boyle, a father who's son has been a frequent visitor to childrens hospital throughout Scotland. Joe says 'our son was in & out of hospital a couple of times a month but we became aware of other children who had never left during that time. We wanted to do something to make their stay a little more comfortable & enjoyable. It's never a nice experience having you child rushed into hospital & it happens more than you think.'
Joe received money from his 40th birthday celebrations & wanted to try and turn it into more so he could give something back to help sick kids. He bought a 3 wheeled car from ebay & decided he would get sponsorship to drive it around Scotland. He told his friend Dave Stewart about the idea, he loved it & decided to join in so another car was bought from ebay, they then mentioned it to other friends & before you knew it 8 three wheeled vehicles took part in driving around Scotland raising money for sick kids - 3 Wheel Scotland was born.
Joe's idea is to have a fun time raising money for sick kids & to make it a little different, Joe added the 3 wheel element, so why not take part, or send a donation - every penny really does count !
Remember sponsorship is the key part, so get your sponsorship forms filled out - the more people who do means the more money raised for sick kids in Scotland.
3 Wheel Scotland is non-profit making, all money raised will be split between Dfs & Galloway Royal Infirmarys' Childrens Ward 15, Yorkhill Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital & Cash for Kids - thank you for your support
