3WS 2012 Run - Cancelled
Due to unforseen circumstances the 2012 run around Scotland in the 3 Wheelers has had to be cancelled for this year. We can only apologise that there won't be 700+ miles cramped inside tiny cars, for those topless car drivers, we're sorry you won't feel the rain on your face, we're sorry you won't be trying to pitch your tent in the wind & rain, we're sorry you won't be sleeping in water logged tents for 3 nights. We're sorry to all the 3 Wheel Scotland drivers, we know how much they'll all miss the great scottish summer weather, but don't worry we still have plenty of fundraising ideas & hope we can count on your support for the Tonna Male Voice Choir who are coming all the way from Wales to entertain us in the Easterbrook Church, The Crichton, Dumfries on Friday 2nd November - tickets available from Easterbrook Hall Tel: 01387 702 020, Isobel Rainey issyrainey@hotmail.co.uk
or Fiona Boyle info@boylebuilders.co.uk or Tel: 01387 830000 tickets £10 - all money raised being donated to 3 Wheel Scotland.
4x4 Club raises money for 3 Wheel Scotland
We were contacted by David Lynn from the Ae 4x4 Club. They had an autojumble & rattled some cans to raise some money for 3WS, they very kindly handed over a cheque for £117.00, we were delighted & it will be added to the funds raised from the Race Night held in April. Well done the Ae 4x4 Club, every penny raised really does make a difference!
Space Hopper Success
The Space Hopper Race Night on Saturday 28th April 2012 in Easterbrook Hall was a bouncing success, with just under £5,000.00 raised, bringing the total raised in the four years of 3 Wheel Scotland to just under an amazing £33,000.00. A huge thank you and well done to everyone who took part, especially all the jockeys, race sponsors, auction donators & buyers, tote helpers and everyone who attended the night, a big shout out to Bruce McKenzie who compared the night, Tommy Jardine for his unique auctioneering skills and Angela McIntyre of Easterbrook, who's help was immesurable!
Every penny raised really does count - together with what is raised from the Space Hopper Race Night, donations from the Ae 4x4 Club and also the Tonna Male Voice Choir who are coming from Wales to entertain us on Friday 2nd November in the Crichton Church, this year should see even more raised for sick kids throughout Scotland, thank you, thank you, please keep supporting 3 Wheel Scotland, it really does make a difference.

With the money 3 Wheel Scotland raised DGRI Childrens Ward 15 purchased specialist breathing equipment & staff training, Kirstine Burns Senior Sister said '
thank you so much for the tremendous donations, the equipment & training we've been able to purchase though your donations will ensure very sick babies & children can be treated in Dumfries instead of having the added trauma of being moved to another hospital'

The donation given to Edinburgh Sick Kids Hopsital has contributed towards purchasing pioneering equipment for brain surgery, artists & writers to work with young patients whilst in hospital & also towards the continued cost of funding the Drop in Centre, play departments, Kidsnet & wonderful Clowndoctors. Rachel McKenzie, the Community Fundraising Manager said '
please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone who helped to make these donations possible. We rely on the support of kind people like you who are willing to make an extra special effort to help raise much needed funds for sick kids.'

Yorkhill, Royal Hospital for Sick Children we're delighted with the donations recieved, Kirsten Sinclair, Community Fundraiser said '
On behalf of Yorkhill & all the sick children who will benefit from 3 Wheel Scotlands generosity, I would like to sincerely thank you, your family & friends for the wonderful donations, your support will enable us to provide enhanced medical equipement & resources, suchas the recently purchased Neonatal Ulstrasound machine. With donations like yours we are able to continue paying for visits from musicians, entertainers & funding many other projects which help put a smile back on sick childrens faces. Thank you again for making this possible. '

West Sound Cash for Kids Coordinator Tommy Jardine said '
We are delighted that 3 Wheel Scotland has choosen Cash for Kids as a beneficiary again this year. This allows us to help even more underprivileged children across Dumfries & Galloway. Our Christmas appeal get's presents under trees, for some this is the only present they will receive. Over £15,000 in Christmas Presents were delivered via the local Social Work department in 2010, helping around 600 children in Dumfries & Galloway. Monies have also helped childrens groups with trips to the Panto or a Special Summer Trip. We take this opportunity to wish 3 Wheel Scotland every success for the future.'
